Creativity for Utah & Adobe Rush
When you first open Adobe Rush a box tutorial does exist to help learn the tools of this new cloud based video editing program, but it isn’t a story or content that is aligned to curriculum. Therefore, I’ve recreated a tutorial using video and images about the “Spike 150 Celebration” in Utah. To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the driving of the Golden Spike at Promontory, Utah, this lesson also highlights the historical significance of the transcontinental railroad and the effect of railroads on the state of Utah.
The following files can be used to introduce Adobe Rush and the importance of teaching video creation in the classroom:

14 – Collaborator: Co-learn with students about a new digital tool
The Utah Education Network (UEN) has partnered with the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) and Adobe to provide access for all Utah 7th- 12th grader to the Adobe Creative Cloud. One of the programs included in this suite is “Adobe Rush.”
Over the course of the year I’ve been able to co-learn this new tool with my UEN Colleagues and other Utah EdTech Coaches at Adobe events, conferences, and workshops. Specifically, my colleague Rob Bentley created an Adobe Creative Tools MOOC with materials that support Adobe Rush, Spark, and UX Design.
This summer I’ve started sharing this tutorial with educators to insure our students will get to learn this tool to foster creativity with video making and editing, a powerful and transformative way to communicate and share ideas.
22 – Facilitator: Model and nurture creativity and creative expression to communicate ideas, knowledge or connections.
Sharing this tutorial with educators at conferences and workshops also insures our students will get to learn this tool to foster creativity with video making and editing, a powerful and transformative way to communicate and share ideas.
Linked above is a PowerPoint with embedded links and f resources that are used both in the training, and then made available for teachers to use with students while teaching this new program.
